about Me
My name is Jude Ramirez from Oakland Ca. I’m a writer, director, cinematographer and producer driven by a lifelong passion for creating art in many forms. I’ve written and directed two short films and served as Director of Photography on two additional shorts, while currently developing my third short film scheduled for release in Summer of 2026. I’m also producing a Bay Area documentary exploring graffiti culture and its impact on the urban landscape. My filmmaking journey includes studying at the San Francisco Film School and training in acting with Robert Wu (Logan, Ted), which has helped shape my understanding of storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.
Beyond film, I’m a photographer capturing everyday life in the Bay Area, documenting bands, events, and the raw energy of city streets.
As a graphic designer, I’ve created music flyers, band logos, and branding for emerging artists and small businesses.
Music has been a constant thread throughout my life. I’ve been performing for over 35 years. Over the years I’ve played in multiple bands including Goodfellas, Killswitch, Screw 32, and Hunter, performing in hundreds of venues across the United States & recorded numerous songs. A drummer at heart, I also play guitar, bass, keyboards, and sing. I recently composed the score for my 23 minute short film Grime City, drawing on decades of musical experience to create emotional depth within the story.
Art has always been part of who I am. Whether through film, photography, music, or design, I’m passionate about collaborating with others, capturing powerful moments, and bringing creative visions to life.
