music
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My interest in playing drums began at 10 years old when my dad brought home a snare drum. I began playing along to albums from Prince, Earth Wind and Fire and Duran Duran. Growing up in a household where music was always alive. My father was a drummer and singer in the 1960s and he was the one who first showed me how to play. What he taught me became the foundation for everything that followed. Through high school I started and joined bands, chasing the energy and freedom that music gave me. In the early mid 1990s I moved to the Bay Area to pursue it more seriously and formed a band of my own. Music became an escape from reality but also something deeper. It was a passion and a calling that helped shaped who I am. Today I continue to create music for myself and composing scores for my films has pushed me into new territory, forcing me out of my comfort zone and into the world of cinematic sound. Through these pieces I hope to share a part of that journey with you.
